4,880 square meter facility in Brisbane Airport.
Work is progressing along at the Brisbane airport construction site for DHL Global Forwarding, the freight specialist arm of Deutsche Post DHL Group’s 4,880 square meter facility in Brisbane Airport.
Located close to Brisbane airport, the facility is perfectly position to allow easy access to the tarmac. DHL are the first and only freight forwarder to have such access, and is also close to the Port of Brisbane.
The new facility is a five green star rating according to the Green Building Council of Australia, featuring solar panels, reusable batteries which will power most of the warehouse operations. The building will be efficient in harvesting rainwater and will also contain electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. Plans are also afoot to introduce carbon offsetting for a carbon neutral supply chain for customers.

DHL Global Forwarding has invested 17 million AUD over ten years. Internally, the new DHL facility at Brisbane will contain the largest international cold chain services in the region, to meet the fast-growing demand for perishable freight.
Another benefit of the new DHL Brisbane freight facility will help support the phenomenal growth of general cargo in Queensland.
Tremendous growth in exports.
